A SPACE CHRISTMAS — Christmas in the space age was the theme of the grade three presentation at Huron Centennial's concert Thursday. Staff photo No electricians in this group By Peggy Van Wonderen Grade 8 St. Boniface School Santa Claus Santa's Workshop North Pole Dear Children of the World, I am so sorry but I am not going to visit you and put presents under your tree this year. The only thing you kids want are electronic games. My elves are carpenters not electricians. If I want to give you one I have to buy it and that can get very expensive. Thirty or Forty dollars for one child! Around here "batteries not included" has become a house hold word. You kids sent me so many letters last year our workshop was filled up and I had to build a new room on the house. Mrs. Claus was furious that the elves were working in her kitchen but we had no other choice. Don't you think that if I know if you've been good or bad I know what you want for Christmas? These little spectacles (which I think you call eye glasses) get quite expensive these days. I lose o pairs each Christmas. When I drink my milk and eat my cookies I set them down and before I know it I leave them behind. By the way, Sandy, if you found a pair of `glasses. last year, please send them to me. My .address'is above. My reindeer aren't getting any younger either' you know. Just the other day, Rudolph's nose burnt out. (This cannot be replaced). You see I have many different reasons why I can't We look forward to serving you again VILLAGE OF ZURICH Reeve: Fred Haberer, Councillors: Isidore La Porte, Leroy Thiel, Bob Fisher .Caerer ro art r ro give e , m ra 4-r-_e_o_Stir' .cu.t5 _f"ke y . . loved . k i m \A/,'s come so I hope you have a merry Christmas any ways.
