an open house for friends and

dinner at the Hotel last
Monday. A minutes silence
was observed in memory .of
their past secretary .the late,
Mary McKinnon, followed by
the singing of Christmas
carols. The business portion
consisted of them appointing
a new secretary being,
Victor Dinnin and Ellen
Batstone as assistant
secretary and Lottie Gascho,
treasurer.
Several door prizes were
won with the evening ,ending
playing a few games of
cards.

who returned home from St.
Joseph's hospital on Sunday
and is ,recovering from an
appendix operation.

area attended the funeral of
Victor °'Denomme last
Wednesday in Detroit (the
brother of Florence.
Denomme) .
Miss Trudy Vanden
Boomen who attends King's
College in London is
presently home spending the
holidays with her parents

A Christmas supper was
held on Wednesday attended
by all the tenants of the
Spruce Villa apartments in

which they served refresh-
ments to the Residents. The
December birthday party
was.sponsored by the Ladies
of the Zurich United Church
on Thursday evening. The
children of the _ Sunday
School provided the
program.
Residents having bir-
thdays during December and
receiving birthday gifts,

Following the programme,
a delicious lunch was served.

during the service.
