MR. AND MRS. ROBERT RESTEMAYER -
Monica Thelma Marie Ducharme and Robert Lee_ Restemayer
were married in a Lutheran ceremony at Dashwood United
church on June 14. The bride is the daughter of Thelma and
Edsel Ducharme of Exeter and the groom's parents are Donna
and Leeland Restemayer of Dashwood. Rev. M. Mellecke of-
ficiated. Maid of Honour was `Sandy Becker of Dashwood.
Bridesmaids were Judy Ducharme of Zurich, Kim Ziler of
Zurich and Michelle Jones of Walton. Best man was Peter
Becker of Dashwood. MichaerJones of Walton, Michael Ziler
of Zurich and Tom Ducharme of Exeter ushered guests. After o
wedding trip to Niagara Falls and Ottawa, the couple are

The annual Friedsburg
-Days scheduled for
Dashwood on Friday and
Saturday, 4ugust 1 and 2 will'
feature more sporting ac-
tivities for childr"en. -
Sports co-ordinator- John
Becker said Monday that
tricycle races and frog races
were being addedfor boys
and girls on Saturday.
The tricycle dashes will be
for youngsters up to eight
years of age and they are
asked to bring their own
wheels.
The frog races will be open
to boys and girls up to 14
years again they are asked
to bring their own frogs.
The tricycle and frog
races along with the always
popular pet show will be held
in the early afternoon short-
ly after the parade which is
set for 12 noon.
Registration for arm
wrestling will begin at 3;30
p.m. with preliminary tug-
of-war tests at 5• p.m. Finals
in both events will be held in
the early evening.
- Last year's tug-of-war
champs from Mount Carmel
are expected back. They will
be facing strong men from
Shipka, Exeter and London.
Arm wrestling will go in
four weight divisions for
men and an open class for
women.
Contestants in arm wrestl-
ing will be restricted to
those residing within a 20
mile radius of Dashwood.

on Wednesday, July 23.
Myrtle W. Keys
A Hullett Township native
and a lifelong.resident of the
area, Myrtle Wade Keys died
on July 5, 1980 in her nine-
tieth year. -
Mrs. Keys was born on
June 17, 1891 in .Hullett
Township to John Tiplady
and the former Ruth Wade.
In December 1918 she was
• married to Clifford Keys in
Clinton and the couple made
their home at RR 1 Varna
until Mrs. Keys moved to
Huronview four years ago.
She was a member of
• the Goshen United Church.
Mrs. ' - Keys was
predeceased by her parents,
her husband and one
daughter, Sybil Allen. She is
survived by two sons, Bruce
and Jim of RR 1 Varna and
nine grandchildren,
seventeen great grand-
children and four step great
grandchildren.
Rev. Wilena Brown con-
ducted the funeral service at
the Ball Funeral . Home in
Clinton on July 8 and in-
terment followed in
Bayfield Cemetery.
