Bro. Bob is hoping to be pre-
sent. He has been
recuperating from an opera-
tion and will soon be return-
ing to India.

Bazaar will be held on Satur-
day, November 3 with pro-
ceeds for the missions.

The Mystery prize of;100.00
was won by Rose -Mary
Ducharme at the last bingo in
Zurich.
Zurich Lions
The last meeting of the
Zurich Lions club was held at
the Dominion with 13
members present and two
guests. President Richard
Erb reported on the recent
Zone meeting in Crediton. He
and his wife Mary attended
the Recognition Night in
Parish, Ont. on September 29.
Some other members attend-
ed the Seaforth Lions club's
60th anniversary in
September.
Lion Doug Thiel reported
there is a need for more
helpers for the Cubs and
Scouts or there is a possibili-
ty it may fold up this fall.
Happ b�was sung to
Russell Grainger.
On October 15, the Lions
met again for "Prospective
Night" with guests speaker
Lion Leroy Gilmore. Each
member was to bring a
friend.
October 20 is the North
Brantford certification night.
That same night is the
Tillsonburg's Lions club 60th
Charter Anniversary.
October 28 is the interna-
tional breakfast and cabinet
meeting in St. Marys. It is
hoped Lions from the Zurich
club will attend some of these
functions as it's part in join -
in¢ to¢ether with other clubs.

St. Boniface CWL meeting
was held on Tuesday evening
following the Living Rosary
and Mass for vocations. (Oc-
tober is the month of the
Rosary).
Congratulations to Mr. and
Mrs. Leo Paul Corriveau of
London who were married on
Saturday, October 13 at St.
Mary's Church. Leo Paul is
the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lu-
cien Corriveau, Zurich.
May we offer our sincere
sympathy to the many
relatives and family of the
late Mrs. Adella Regier who
passed away suddenly on Oc-
tober 9 while in Windsor over
the Thanksgiving weekend
and had just attended an an-
niversary party for one of her
children.
And also to Margaret
Mousseau on the death of her
twin brother, Wilfred who
passed away on October 8.
Several couples from town

Mass and a Communion
Breakfast in St. Columban on
Sunday as installation of of-

Aren't we lucky to have
such beautiful autumn
weather to enjoy? The sur-
rounding trees are lovely and
some of our residents have
still been able to sit on the
patio during sunny periods
and enjoy the flowers still
blooming profusely.
Please keep in mind that
our fall bazaar, tea, bake sale
and penny sale will be held at
the Home on Saturday,
November 10. Any donations
of baking for the sale will be
gratefully accepted by the
Auxiliary.
Some activities were
somewhat curtailed this
week because of the
Thanksgiving weekend and
our Adjuvant having a couple
days off. Wednesday morning
residents became a little
Mousseau C.A.P. of
Blenheim, Ontario, took part
in the celebration of the Mass
for Wilfred Mousseau last
Thursday, October 11 at St.
Boniface Church, as did
members of the Knights of
Columbus.
Congratulations to Jim and
Marjorie Love RR 1 Zurich on
ei
more nimble after the exer-
cise workout. Thursday mor-
ning, the usual large number
of residents assembled in the
dining room to sing.
Residents enjoy the visits of
the Huron Hope children on
Friday mornings.
We welcome Mrs. Maggie
Campbell to the home. She is
a former Hensall Resident.
We regret that Mrs. Vera
Brintnell is a patient in St.
Joseph's Hospital, London.
Video programs were
shown on Wednesday evening
by Cliff and Joyce Alexander
of the apartments.
Bingo was played on Friday
morning instead of the usual
evening hour.
The Sunday evening chapel
service was conducted by Mr.
and Mrs. Eric Luther
the occasion of their 25th an-
niversary. A surprise party
was held for them at the
Zurich Community Centre
given by their children,
Elaine, Kathy and Carolyn.
They also enjoyed a very
nice supper with their fancily
at the Bayfield Inn, before go-
ing to the arena where they
were surprised to see
relatives and friends
gathered from such places as
Kitchener, Windsor, London,
Stratford to Zurich area.
A hot smorgasbord meal
was served in the evening.
Music was provided by a D.J.
A lovely traditional
Thanksgiving brunch was
held at the home of Kay and
Morris Webb RR 2 Zurich for
members of their family and
relatives and their children.
Mrs. Gertie Fleischauer
spent the weekend with her
daughter, Ruth Ann and Bill
Mills in Palmerston and en-
joyed doing a bit of shopping
in Kitchener. She also spent
Thanksgiving weekend with
her other daughter Marion
and family.
Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Church
visited with his sister, Ruth
from last Tuesday to Thurs-
day and returning home to
Hartman Arkansas after a 12
day trip.

A good number of high
school students from Zurich
and Blue Water Catholic
parishes made a very rewar-
ding "Cor" weekend for youth
between the ages of 17 and 21
which was held at St.
Michael's School in Stratford
from Friday evening to Sun-
day afternoon.

FICIAL PLAN AMENDMENT AFFECTING HAY
TOWNSHIP
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the County of Huron will hold
a public meetini, on Monday, November 19, 1984 at 8:30 p.m. in the Hoy Township
Municipal Officr in Zurich to consider a proposed official plan amendment under
Section 17 of th Planning Act.
The proposed official plan amendment would change the designation on Block "C"
and Lots 1 to 42 Registered Plan No. 536 known as St. Joseph Shores Subdivision,
from "Recreation" to "Urban". The subject lands are located west of Highway 21,
on the south boundary of the hamlet of St. Joseph (as shown on the attached map).
This amendment would provide the policy basis to enable a zone change that
would permit permanent residential dwellings rather than seasonal residential
dwellings which ore presently permitted.
ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and, or make written or verbal
representation either in support of or in opposition to the proposed official plan
amendment.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION relating to the proposed official plan amendment is
available for inspection at the Huron County Deportment of Planning and Develop-

ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENT
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Hay will hold'
a public meeting on November 19, 1984 of 8:30 p.m. at the Hay Township Office
in Zurich to consider a proposed zoning by-law amendment under section 34 of
the Planning Act.
The proposed zoning by-law would amend Zoning By -low 10-1974, which
refers to Registered Plan 536, known as the St. Joseph Shores Subdivi-
sion. The proposed by-law would change the R5 Seasonal Residential
Zone, as shown on Schedule 'A' of By-law 10-1974, to R1 Single Family
Residential. The zoning provisions referring to R5 in By-law 10-1974 will
be repealed and replaced with provision for R1 zone. This proposed
amendment will permit the establishment of permanent residences. Ex-
isting "Open Space" and "Hazard Land" zoning will be replaced by"Open
Space" and "Natural Environment" zoning. Lands affected by this amend-
ment are identified on the mop below.
ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and or make written or verbal
representation either in support of or in opposition to the proposed zoning by-law
amendment.
