Report one injury
in area collisions
Only one minor injury was
reported in the five collisions
investigated this week by the
Exeter OPP.
The first crash of the week
occurred on Thursday at the
intersection of Richmond St.
and Albert St. in Hensall.
Vehicles involved were driven
by Julia Knip, Hensall, and
Mary Louise Moffatt, RR 3
Kippen. Damage was $1,300.
There were three collisions
on Sunday, the first occurring
on Highway 84 just east of
Zurich, when a.xehicle driven
by Thelma E. Thiel, RR 1
Zurich, backed from a
laneway into the path of a
vehicle driven by Mahmoud
Osman, 380 Main St., Exeter.
Damage was $1,625.
A hit and run was reported
on Highway 83 east of Exeter
when a vehicle driven by
David C. Virgin, RR 2 Norval,
was forced off the road by an
unknown vehicle.
Virgin had been in the pro-
cess of passing the unknown
driver when the latter pulled
out to pass a third car ahead
of him and Virgin ended up in
the ditch in his attempt to
avoid a collision and the
unknown vehicle continued

The third crash on Sunday
took place at the intersection
of Highways 21 and 83 when a
vehicle driven by Robert J.
Delisle, Kitchener, skidded on
the ramp leading onto
Highway 83 and crashed into
two steel posts and a fence on
the ministry of transportation
and communication property.
Damage was estimated at
$1,200.
The final crash of the week
was on Monday when a vehi-
cle operated by Raymond
Michael Laleff, Downsview,
failder to negotiate a curve on
Indian Road in Oakwood Park
and hit a tree. Damage was ,

A passenger in the vehicle,
Peter William Humphrey,
London, sustained a minor
injury.

Police nab breakin suspect
One hurt in local crash.
One accident, one-breakin
and one theft were in-
vestigated by the Exeter
police this week.
The collision occurred on
Thursday when a motor vehi-
cle driven by Case
Zeehuisen Jr., 176 Carling St.
Exeter, was in collision with
one driven by Mark Relouw,
Lake Road E., -Grand Bend.
The acccident scene was
the
intersection
of
Thames
Road W. and Carling St.
A passenger in the Relouw
vehicle, Tracy Woods, 509
Regal Court, London, sustain-
ed minor injuries and was
treated at South Huron
Hospital.
Damage in the crash was
listed at $4,000 by Constable
Jim Barnes.
The breakin was reported
on Thursday at the Good
Times Eating Emporium: An
alert citizen contacted police
and as a result, a suspect was
arrested by Constable Dan
Kierstead. The suspect will
appear in Exeter court on Ju-
ly 24.
The theft was also reported
on Thursday. Paul Graham,
RR 2 Seaforth, reported the
loss of two motorcycle
helmets from his bike when it
was parked at the Canadian
Canners parking lot.
