Spring blood donor clinic termed 'best ever' with 254 donors
Another very successful
Red Cross blood donor clinic
is,over and 287 prospective
donors took time to help save
lives.
With 33 deferrals a total of
254 pints of blood were
donated.
The quota being 250, the
Ausable River Nomads were
very pleased with the• ex-
celleat turnout.
A special thank you to the
students and teachers of
SHDHS who helped make our
clinic a big success. We again
had many first time donors
and hope they continue to
take time and give their
donations.
Convener Marie Brunzlow
commented. "This has been
the best ever clinic and we
are hoping for a bigger and
better turnout in the fall on
Wednesday October 10."

charge of Communion Ser-
vice at St. Patrick's Saturday
evening. Cheryl Carroll was
pianist, readers were Hazel
Davis and Paul Bedell who
read a letter from the Ninth
bishop of Huron Derwyan
Jones.
Rev. Derrick spoke to the
children on the Good
Shepherd, comparing His
love and care to that of a
mother. The children
presented each mother and
grandmdther with a flower.
The minister then continued
in the same theme for his ser-
mon. The flowers in the
chancel were in loving
memory of Mrs. Vera
McFalls, placed by her
family.
The A.C.W. meeting was
postponed last week but will
be held at the home of Vicky
Gee Wednesday, May 16 at
1:30 p.m.
