Blind have
story to tell
The blind have a story to
tell and have decided that
they need an audience. They
want to talk to area church
groups, service clubs and
other organizations, large or
small.
At the April 11 meeting of
the Huron -Perth Advisory
Board for the CNIB held in
Seaforth, it was decided to
make speakers available to
such groups, clubs and
organizations.
These speakers would tell
true life stories about their
own experiences with blind-
ness and would offer a better
understanding of the blind,
and the CNIB and what it does
for the blind with money
donated.
If you would like such a
speaker for your group or
club meeting, call one of the
following members of the
Huron -Perth Advisory Board
for the CNIB about a month
beforehand: in Goderich - Mr.
or Mrs. Clayton Edward
(524-9605);- Ernie Crawford

School Board will be holding
a public meeting in Stratford
for separate school taxpayers
in the next three or four
weeks to set up the review
committee.
Acting director of education
John McCauley said the
board's accommodation
review committee has been
looking into the situation in
Stratford for about five
months.
There are eight vacant
classrooms in the five
schools, which means there
are 280 empty pupil spaces.
Now, four of the five
kindergarten to grade 6
schools and the remaining
one, St. Michael's, is a grade
7 and 8 school.
The community committee
will include both Stratford
trustees, John Devlin and Ron
Marcy. Four separate school
ratepayers will make up the
rest of the committee with the
director or his designate ac-
ting as secretary of the
committee.
Two of the four parents will
be chosen by the ratepayers
at the public meeting. The
other two will be selected
from the specific school(s) to
be reviewed.
The board is expected to an-
nounce .the schools to be
reviewed in the next few
weeks.
McCauley said the commit-
tee will review accommoda-
tion information with regards
to facilities such as gym-
nasiums and libraries and
will survey ratepayers.
The committee will have
four months to prepare a
report for the board.
TWO BY TWO — Grand Bend School children have been building papier mache
animals for Noah's Ark display to be seen soon at Lambton Mall, Sarnia. Waiting
in the hall are two polar bears. The Grand Bend project has been in process since
