A new series of Case trac-
tors and a rollback of parts
prices are current features at
CG Farm Supply, near
Zurich.
The new tractors unveiled
ir. September have a "touch
of genius" according to CG
owner Cleve Gingerich.
Gingerich will be in the
United States on February 19
for the unveiling of four more
models of the 94 series. He
adds, "Included in the new
tractors will be one in excess
of 400 horsepower to be used
in Western Canada".
The new 94 series tractors
feature front wheel and four
wheel drive models. The 162
horsepower 3294 model has
constant four wheel drive and
smaller tires in front.
In this series, the genius ap-
pears as an electronic read-
out each time you put your
finger on the instrument
touch panel for engine RPM,
ground speed, PTO speed or
total area worked. Highly ad-
vanced digitalization teams
with new styling, new Silent
Guardian cab, new easy -
operating controls and new
Case deluxe seats.
Parts manager Dennis
Estep says production
economies and a cost savings
program were responsible for
a rollback of up to 39 percent
on more than 20,000 genuine
Case part numbers.
CG Farm Supply now with
a staff of 11 employees was
established in 1962. Cleve
Gingerich was operating a
welding shop in Zurich
specializing in building
snowmobiles when he was
asked by a Case represen-
tative to start a dealership.
Gingerich sold two Case
tractors the first year in
business. They were 43 and 53
horsepower models. Now the
most popular tractors are of
108 and 128 horsepower.
CG Farm Supply employs
three mechanics. They are
Cliff and Rick Gingerich, sons
of Cleve and Margaret and a
cousin Ken Gingerich. The
latter has been with the firm
for 17 years.
Diesel and air conditioning
repairs are handled by Rick
and Ken while Cliff is the in-
dustrial machinery specialist.
All CG mechanics take year-
ly courses at Case head-
quarters in Racine,
Wisconsin.
The Gingerichs' son-in-law
Dennis Estep is parts
manager and Henry Martens
and Paul Steckle are the
salesmen.
Marlene Estep and Dolores
Gingerich are part-time office
employees in addition to
Cleve's wife Margaret. A
daughter Charlotte is also a
part-time employee.
The CG Farm Supply
fastball team won the Zurich
rec fastball league A division
and A league playoffs in 1983.
