Around 5,000 people streamed in to view and take quiet pride in 'their' hospital, the first ever to be built in the southern end of Huron County. South Huron Hospital was a building volunteers built. Everything that went into it, except the basic design and actual construction was done by co-operative citizens in their spare time.
