The Poem of What
christYnas is About
By Amber Kende, Gr. 7
St. Boniface School
Christmas is almost here,
The streets are tilling up
with lots of cheer.
Here comes Santa in his
sled,
Little children with
cheeks so red.
Christmas trees with
lights so bright,
Candles dancing with a
sparkling light.
"Joy to the World" is
sung,
Stockings on the fireplace
that are hung.
Snowflakes falling from
the sky,
Lots of presents for us to
buy.
Jesus is born in a
manger,
To people far and wide he
is no stranger.

The Journey to
Bethlehem
By j.j. Sparing, Gr. 4
Huron Centennial School
I am Joseph. I had to
walk with Mary and the
donkey. I had to walk all
that way, but I would
walk all that way for
Mary. Then we arrived in
Bethlehem. We asked the
innkeeper if there was a
place to stay but he said
no, there isn't any room.
He told us there was a
stable out back. So I took
Mary out to the stable,
and got the baby a
manger to sleep in.
Once the baby was
born, there was a bright
star shining in the sky.
The shepherds knew that
Jesus was born and came
to see him. The wise
kings arrived with gifts
for Jesus.
If I had been alive I
would have liked to bring
Jesus a gift.

Dear Santa
By Charli E., Grade 4
Biddufph Central School
Dear Santa:
My name is Charli. I am
nine years old. I go to
Biddulph Central Public.
My hobbies are running,
reading, playing and
doing homework.
I have 16 people in my
family: Mommy, Josh, me,
Oma, Opa, Aunt Tammy,
Uncle Jason, Mandy, Aunt
Stacey, Uncle Bill, Aunt
Judy, Uncle Jim, Aunt
Delilah, Uncle Peiter,
Amanda and Darios.
I used to have some
pets. They were: four
dogs, some goldfish, and
one kitten. Our dogs'
names were Cassy (she
died), Trouper (got too
old, he had to have a
sleeping needle), Jake
(was` sent to a farm), and
a girl dog, I can't remem-
ber her name (she was:
also sent to a farm). The
cat, a male cat, was also
sent to a farm.
Are you magic? I would
like a gypsy dress. How
old are you?
Love Charli E.
P.S. Write back soon
please. How many elves
do you have?
