Panther girls pick up first ever win
EXETER — The South
Huron District High
School •girls hockey team
celebrated their first win
ever with a 7-0 drubbing
of St, .Marys at home last
week.
Jessica Davies led the
way with a hat -trick. She
scored the first (and win-
ning : PO, w.e4 A's . the,
final two goals. Davies
also collected two assists.
Jo -Dee Regier scored a
gbal and assisted on three'
others, Single goals were
scored by Sarah Wuerth,
Tammy McClure and
Jessie Dineen with assists
going to Megan Skinner,
Meghan Gaiser,.-Kristine
Regier and Leanne Erb.
Kelli Fulton and
Charlsey O'Rourke shared
the shutout between the
pipes for the Panthers.
The score .was g-0 a er
the first period and 4-0
after the second.
St. Marys only had four
players on the bench and
no backup goalie.
South Huron dominated
the game with almost all
of the play taking place in
the St. Marys end.
South Huron's record
improves to 1-2-1 (wins,
losses, ties).
The Panther girls next
travel to Listowel for a
tournament on Dec. 3.
Their first opponents will
be Norwell. The next
Huron -Perth league
action for the Panthers
will be at Wingham F.E.
Madill on Dec. 8.
