The hobby room displayed a table of crafts created by the residents. Prizes were won by Nichole Veroude for the baby quilt, Ina Neeb the Christmas deco- rated cake, Barb Lovie and Jane Campbell,. gro- cery baskets, Marilyn Durand, a fancy pitcher, Colleen Overholt, the Teddy Bear, Dorothy Weber, Kitchen towel, Nicole Veroude, glass serving tray, Brenden Stoneman, candle, Rev. Brian Williamson, cherry pie holder, Margaret Gingerich, candle oil lamp, Laura Simpson placemats, Ted Soudant, cookie jar/napkins/candle, Elda Bender, hidden treasure candle, Rosemarie Regier, knitted child's dress, Margaret Gingerich, Grandma's busy plaque and Colleen Overholt, plant. The Auxiliary enter- , tained the residents for their monthly meeting on Nov. 2. The Grand Bend Golden Agers Kitchen Band played toe tapping selections for the residents and guests. Margaret Gingerich read a November poem, squares and coffee were served by Auxiliary vol.untee♦s Margaret Gingerich, Marlene Gingerich and Donna Klopp. The, host Auxiliary committee con- sisted of Mary Ducharme, Margaret Gingerich, Marilee Ayotte and Grace Martin. Rose and Andrew's quartet entertained at the home on Nov. 7 with the assistance of .Pearl Ann Martin. AIice and Don Andirew and Esther and Richard Rose made up the quartet. November 8 resident Philippa Steckle played hymns for the residents' sing song in the auditori- um. In the afternoon the residents - gathered to watch "Wide Awake". Rev. Matthias Wronski, .St. Boniface Church, Zurich led the Catholic ser9ice the past two. Thursday after- noons and again a service on Sunday morning at 11:15 a.m. The residents watched Remembrance Day Services on the large screen TV and sported their poppies supplied by the local Legion Branch. Veterans as residents of the home are Jean Burr, George Chapman, Neil Mustard, Barbara Plumb and Brigadier Morgan Smith. Clifford Jardine also served in the army service. The residents look for- ward to a birthday party with the Grand Bend W.I. on Nov. 15, the Christian Reformed Church Choir on Nov. 16, an afternoon tea Nov. 17, a bus trip to Goderich Mall on Nov. 19, the Fellowship Singers Nov. 21, the Grand Bend Golden Niers Nov. 22. The residents and their families look forward to the annual resident/family dinner to be held at the home on Sun., Nov. 28 from 3to8p.m. What a show! Once again the Lucan Community Centre packed in Christmas shoppers at this year's annual Lucan Christmas Craft Show held Nov 12-14. Gale, making her fourth appearance at the Lucan craft show, made alt of the crafts she was selling andsaid business was brisk on Saturday. (photo/Scott Nixon) Huskies missing from Souk Huron area -gq SOUTH HURON — Three Huskies are missing from the South Huron area and the Exeter OPP wants to return the dogs to their owners. Const. Rob Kern said the third Husky went-mfrom its Mount Carmel area home Monday night. The other two dogs are missing from -Exeter and Crediton. "It's rather suspicious," Kern said. "At this point I'm considering this as a possi- ble theft."
