BEST SEWMG PLANS OF THE DECADE 1990
What will housing styles look like in the year 2000? The best way to predict is to look back at home
design trends over the past decade to see which features came into style, which went out, and which
have stood the test of time. Over the next 10 weeks, we will be featuring, for your perusal our most
popular design for each year from 1990 to 1999.
In 1990, our plan #U-746-1 offered a compact "Modem California Stucco" design.
The exterior facade, still enjoying popularity at the end of the decade, boasts stucco with decorative
columns framing the corners, and palladian style feature windows with muntin bars.
Lot sizes in the 90's have become increasingly smaller and designers have had to figure out creative
ways to make "compact" comfortable. In this plan, vaulted -ceilings create a more spacious
atmosphere, as do open plan layouts for the living/dining room and the kitchen/family room.
Plans for U•746.1 may be obtained for $485.00 for a package of five complete sets of working punts
and $40.00 for each additional set of the same plan. Allow $20.00 extra to cover the cost of courier
and handling (B.C. residents add 7% PST to plan total.) All Canadian residents add 7% GST to plan
total plus courier.
This is one of our new designs. Many innovative plans are now available in our NEW catalogue: Two
Storey 2000 to 2500 sq.ft., which is available for $8.51, including postage and handling and GST.
