The lessons from Exodus 16 and Matthew 10 were read by Courtney Benner and the minister. At St. Pauls' Anglican Church, Kirkton on Sunday, Sept. 19, Rev. Glenda Meakin's message was about serving,.God with reverence and thanksgiving. David Blackler and the minister read the lessons and the gospel. ucw Unit 2 met at the home of Terry Herbert on Monday evening, Sept. 13. Terry opened the .meet- ing with a reading about Family. As acting presi- dent, Debbie Toll gave a report on the upcoming bazaar plans and the cen- trepieces she will be doing for it. Hostess Terry had a mini craft session following the meeting with fellowship and refreshments. UnIt 5 met at the manse on Thursday afternoon, Sept 16. President Margaret Spence opened the meeting with a poem `Autumn' and some read- ings from the Heritage book. Some favourite hymns were also sung. The program for the general meeting in October was discussed as well as plans for the bazaar. Florence McRobert con- tinued with the program reading 'To an old friends house' and a story about a man who took some young cancer patients for a balloon ride at a camp in Alberta. Other readings were 'Farmhouse Auction,' `Which ear would you like it to go on,' and a poem 'The World is mine.' Margaret read 'How old are you' and Pastor Val Hodgins closed with prayer and served lunch.
