GRAND BEND North Lambton OPP are investigat-
ing several break-ins that occurred on Main St. last
week.
During the evening of Aug. 24, thieves gained access
to the Main St. Market by forcing open a side door.
Three businesses inside the building were entered.
Nothing was taken from The Bags and Sunglasses
Depot and Shelly's but cigarettes and a quantity of
cash were taken from Maria's Little Beach Shop.
During the same night, .J.D.'s Restaurant was also hit
after thieves pried open a window. Police said a "quan-
tity of cash was stolen during that theft.
The Chatham OPP Technical Identification Services
Unit has been called in to assist in the investigations.

The Granton No. 1 4H
Club gathered at the
home of leader Margaret
Bryan on Wednesday,
August 25 for their first
meeting on the topic 'The
Power of Produce'.
After opening with the
411 pledge, the club exec-
utive was discussed.
Melissa Gollan was cho-
sen as president, Mary
Mcllhargey vice-presi-
dent, and rotating secre-
tary and reporter.
The group then pre-
pared ingredients for a
recipe and also engaged
in a Glorious- Foods
Activity. Youth leader
Lenny VanDenBerg led
and corrected the activity
dealing with the distribu-
tion system for fresh fruit
and vegetables. Two
groups were formed to
make Mex Bruschetta
Sangria which was later
enjoyed for lunch.
Plans were made for
the next two meetings on
September 2 and the
meeting was closed with
the 4H motto.
