fitness program
designed to help their
clients burn fat, tone up
and boost energy levels.

because there are a lack
of programs in the area.

Besides offering a
cross -training type
workout program
Monday to Friday, their
clients also receive a

sonalized nutritional
counselling and pre- and
post -fitness evaluations.
"It is a mind, body and
spirit commitment for
eight weeks," said
McLlwain. "We are more
than a drop in fitness
centre."
The two instructors,
who are Can -Fit Pro cer-
tified, say their workout
is different because of
their hour and a half
pre -assessment of their
client's fitness levels.
After the evaluation they
review the results and
then establish what level

"The concept is that
it's like everyone is
working out with their
own personal fitness
trainer," said Sweeney.
"This is more rewarding
than just working out in
a gym."
The workout class
meets every evening
from 6-7 p.m. during
week days, • rain or
shine, at the Grand Bend
Lions Pavilion.
"We thought about
doing the workout on
the beach originally but
there just wasn't enough
privacy there," said
Sweeney. "This place is
so great because of the
facilities and privacy."
"I think people also
like the element that it's
outdoors too," said
McLlwain.
On July 12, B&L
Fitness will be starting
their -last eight-week
program for the sum-
mer.
The program costs
$250 per person and the
instructors welcome all
fitness levels, men and
women.
McLlwain said if people
are interested in regis-
tering for the upcoming
program they should do
it quickly because of the
limited spaces and the
fitness pre -assessment.
"We are also - willing to
accommodate visitors to
the area who want to
work out but can't make
the eight week commit-
ment," said Sweeney.
"All we ask is that they
are already psychically
fit and they call ahead."

A well prepared resume will help you
get the job you are looking for!
A resume detailing an applicant's work history and
education is extremely helpful to an employer who
is seeking a person for a specific job vacancy.
Your personal resume should accompany •
your letter of application.
Here are some guidelines to follow in preparing your resume:
O Make it clear, concise and easy to read - and no longer
than two pages
O The resume should betypedon 8 112" x 11" white paper
with enough white space to prevent a cluttered look
O Start with your name, address and phone number
O Next under a sub -heading "Work History" detail the
previous jobs you've held - in reverse date order
- that is, last job first.
O Use a separate paragraph for each position and
precede it with the dates you held that position.
O State the job title, a brief description of the
responsibilities - and the results you achieved.,
O The next section of your resume should come under the
sub -heading of "Education". Start with the highest
degree obtained or grade completed, followed by the
name of the institution at which you studied. Follow
• this with previous education attainments. At the end,
list any specific instructional courses you have
attended in conjunction with your work.
O Under the sub -heading "Affiliations", list memberships
and/or offices held in professional or inddstry
associations.
O Under the sub -heading "Personal Interests" list any
activities which you feel will be of interest to the
employer - such as volunteer work, etc.
Your letter of application and your resume will be the
factors that make the employer decide whether to short
list you for an interview. So make it as Impressive •
as you can - but stick to the facts.
e can help you get an impressive and ,
professional -looking resume;
