Mosurinjohn ap- pealed the assessment of $58 for his double vacant lot on the corner of Stanley and Main Streets. Mosurinjohn said he didn't think heshould be paying anything. Mos-. urinjohn said his property collects water -from surrounding areas. He, .Wed when storm sewers were insisted on Stanley 'Street, his•draibs were cut off, meaning his . property doesn't.drain properly. . Reymer said Mosirinjohn's : appeal wasn't valid because it had nothing to do with the Benn Drain. . Wray Ramsay, of Spriet Associates, said Mosurinjohn's property needs new tile drains and that is Mos- urinjohn's responsibility. He said Mosurinjohn has to pay for the $58 assessment fee because his property lies within the watershed. Deputy -Reeve -Bob Benner said the drain has to be paid somehow and: that the $58 fee isn't excessive. In the second appeal, which was also denied by the court of revision, Ron and Deb Culbert of 195 Main Street didn't want to give the town- ship right of way to allow the mu- nicipality on their property. Ramsay said workers needed to go on the property with a back hoe to deposit stone. ifeiuter asked Ramsay if ,allowing- workers ' fin the Culbert property would fn anyway restrict the Cul- bert's use of their land. Ramsay said workers would. ,be able to work around a shed or garden if they had to. The court denied the appeal, al- lowing work to be done on the prop erty. Reymer said tenders went out Mon- day for the $70,000 Benn Drain pro- ject.
