Council issued a notice of intention to lease the office to the Ausable Centre for $1 per year for five years at a special June 3 council meeting. However, councillors Reg Crawford and Glenn Silver declared conflicts of interest on the motion because they are both related to real estate agents who may have submitted bids on the sale of the building. Benner said the decision to lease to the Ausable Centre didn't conflict with the earlier decision to sell the former village office. Coun.
