Hurondale WI celebrates
Seventeen members of the Hurondale Women's institute celebrated the organization's 80th anniversary with a

Election of officers for DashwoodWl
DASHWOOD - Dashwood Women's Institute met
April 6 at the hall with 12 members present.
Following the Ode and Mary Stewart Collect, dues
were collected. The secretary's and treasurer's reports
were given.
Annual reports were summarized and the minutes of
the Hensall Board meeting were listed.
Members volunteers to help at Slice of Huron on
April 16.
The District Annual will be held on May 20 in
Crediton and the picnic will be held in Crediton July 6
at 12 noon.
Everyone participated in the program. An Irish poem
"The Black Bird was given by Ruth Stire; a reading
"The Curious Cook" was given by June Rader;
"Amusing Stories" was read by Maud Hoffman; Aldene
Wolfe told several jokes; a reading "My Home Town,
Dashwood" "Then and Now" was given by Dorothy
Restemayer; Riddles told by Gloria Beierling; and
Kaethe read a poem "We Plough the Fields".
Restemayer and Stire, wearing hats, sang "Easter
Parade" and "Bicycle Built for Two".
Florence Martene conducted a 'Name That Cake'
contest. Prizes were won by Restemayer and Wolfe.
A reading "The Earth is an Apple" illustrated the sec-
tions of the world that has only 1/32 suitable to pro-
duce all the food.

The election of offic: rs was held. Each retained the
same duties for another year. Members were thanked
for excellent atter Fiance, programs and lunch.
Secret pais were chosen for the coming year.
Members celebrated with an exchange of gifts. Lunch
was served by M4., 'ne and Beierling.
Everyone read a u.7z} iefinition -- A telephone bill -
something that proves that talk isn't cheap.
