ZURICH - Senior Diners met on March 10 with 40
present. Gerry Kane was the winner of the
50/50draw.
Following dinner, three pupils from St. Boniface
School were introduced and they presented their
speeches, with Jacob Rothenberg telling a story,
Brianne Becker speaking on Community Theft and
Jenna McKinnon addressing the Millennium.
Marg Hayter thanked the pupils for coming and
made some announcements.
A thank you letter from Shannon Doughtery was
read expressing her appreciation for the gifts which
she received from the diners and volunteers when
she left as co-ordinator of the group.
Elinor Clark showed slides of the trip she and her
90 year old mother made to England.
Cards were played to round out the day.

Volunteer staff of
Queensway Nursing
Home attend convention
I-IENSALL Pastoral Care Volunteer Winnie Hutton,
and staff volunteer Nancy Young attended the
Ontario Nursing Home Convention in Toronto at the
Metro Toronto Convention Centre Tuesday March 9.
They attended sessions on Holistic Health, The
Changing Roles of Volunteers and Nurturing Those
in the Autumn of Their Lives.
Bingo was held with assistance and prizes supplied
by the Hensall Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Monday
afternoon.
Rev. Ross Thompson of the Zurich Lutheran Church
led Worship Service Tuesday with Belva Fuss as vol-
unteor organist. Thankyou also to Marg Cole for
assisting at the Church service.
Volunteer Edna Deitz travelled to Lounge Areas
with the Library and Tuck Cart Wednesday and pro-
vided friendly visiting along with assisting those resi •
dents wishing to borrow books or purchase items.
The Granton Rhythmaires provided a wonderful
e\ ening of music following Senior Diners Thursday.
Thank you to the Auxiliary volunteers who helped
in so many ways.
