No, Rader isn't a baby learning to walk but a plucky 10 -year-old who has won the bantam regional Second Step in the Four Steps to Stardom bowling competition. Rader recently won the Zone T regional in Molesworth and now advances to the Third Step, or provincial Youth Bowling Council champi- onships, in Hamilton March 20-21. Rader bowled a total 743 over five games at the regionals. • Bowling for five years, Rader is used to the pres- sure .cooker competition — she competed in the Bowler of the Year tour- nament in Toronto last year where she finished seventh. Rader didn't mince many words when asked what she likes about bowling. "It's fun," she said. "You get to beat -people." The St. Boniface School Gr. 5 student also likes to ,.play badminton and vol- leyball and collects porce- lain dolls. She is also the president of Zurich Town & Country Half way there.
