Should Avon -Maitland school trustees
be provided with home computers?

trict School Board. •

"The -cost of computers that pro-

item.' she said.

computers would 'not be available
to students. -
"While. . there are :children :in
classrooms who need computers.
won't have one in my -home." said
vice -chairperson Ray Ford.

the November municipal election, a
seasonal charity casino would aper -
ate less than 12 months of the year.
The vote on charity casinos at the
-municipal election was 57-43.

in the village. .
Fundtimc Corporation has been
given permission by the province
to operate a:seasonal facility in the
Grand Bend region. In fact. the
government has approved the cost
of 36 full-time and eight seasonal
charity gaming clubs in various re-
gions of the province. •

Support for ABCA levy maintained
EXETER - In spite of a minimal
'amount of snow in Exeter this win-
ter. complaints about snowmobiles
within the town have been brought
to council's attention. The prob-
lems have included snowmobiling
on sidewalks. in parks. on private
property.and at night:
The issue was discussed at last
Monday night's committee of the
whsle meeting. The consensus was
that the people causing the prob-
lems are relatively sinall.in number
and do not belong to an organized
club.
"We're dealing with a half-dozen
or dozen people who perhaps don't
belong to a club," mayor Ben Hoo-
genboom said.
Exeter chief administrative offi-
cer Rick Hundey reported he talked
to an official from Pineridgc Sno►. -
mohilc Club who doubted the of-
fenders were part of his club.
The committer proposed a f«o-
fold approach. Councillor Peter
Armstrong has contacted the local
snowmobile club.and interested in-
dividuals to arrange a meeting to
. solicit support for better snowmo=
hiling practices"within Boer.
