Have two minutes? Take this quiz; rating each ques-
tion I to 10 (ten being the perfect). See how you
score. Then if you dare, rate..your spouse. This is
just one of many quizzes that can give you an indication that
there is room for improvement in your marriage. Take a deep
breath. Here we go. • ,
1) Commitment to your spouse. How much of yourself have
you handed over and entrusted to your spouse? (1-10) .
2) Respect for your spouse. Do you respect their opinions .
and judgments". Do you honour and place them in high regard?
(1-10) • .
3) Intimacy with your spouse. Do you really know your
spouse and their heart?- Or is -your relationship only a surface
one? Are you best friends? (1-10)
4) Forgiveness.- When was the last time you said, Forgive
me, 1 was wrong? - If you can't remember. give yourself a low
score.. If you are never wrong, -give yourself a zero. .
(1-10)
Total your score. If you received a perfect 40 - you are either
in denial or have.an angelic marriage, in which case you can
make Millions teaching everyone else how you have arrived. If
you received Tess than 10 - decide if you want help or not. and
if you do, call a pastor or counsellor and set up an appointment.
If you are somewhere between J 0 and 40 like the rest of us,
take your spouse on a date and work onareas that will put a lit-
tle moresp'ice in your life and your marriage.
Here's a fun inexpensive date: Go to the airport
and stand at the boarding gate and kiss. Everyone'
will think it's great. Try it at every boardinggate
in the airport. Then -go home!
