Grand Bend Salmon and Trout.
Fishing Derby lures local anglers
GRAND BEND - It worked
once, why not do it again? -
When the Grand Bend Salmon
and Trout Derby Committee, de-
layed last year's event due•to a late
thaw on Lake Huron, anglers
caught more fish than the ycar be-
fore.
But the delay last year also
forced the derby to run at thc same
time as nearby events and organiz-
ers wanted to avoid that this season
by keeping it near the same date. .
That's why the 1997 Grand Bend
Salmon andiTrout Derby is sched-
uled to start beginning. on May 23
and continuing to June 1 st.
