Pitching for Children's Hospital.• Members of the defunct Cre-
diton slo-pitch team had the honor of donating $795 to the Ex-
eter.Optimist's Walkathon for Children's Hospital of Western
Ontario on Saturday. The -money was raised during a league
tournament two years ago and the ball players wanted it to go
to a charitable organization after the league folded last year.

Queensway participates in
career expo at high school
HF,NSALL 1 Queensway residents were treated to a program of music
by the Exeter Community Choir. directed by Robert Robilliard. Monday
evening. Everyone enjoyed refreshments and a visit following the pro -
'gram.
• Rev. Cordell Parsons of Exeter United Church led worship service Tues-
day afternoon with Sharen Dignan as pianist.
. On Wednesday. Queensway participated in thc Career Expo _display at
South Huron. District High School. There were a number of young people
interested in working in Long TermCarc..
The Grand Cove Choir performed at Queensway on Thursday afternoon.
The group's singing was enjoyed, along with, three soloists. Queensway
residents arc looking forward to giving a variety show in the Grand Cove
Club House. Saturday evening. May 25.
Several residents took part in Baking Group Friday afternoon and made
a hatch of oatmeal cookies from a recipe in the Queensway cookbook.
Friendship Friday took place Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. with entertain-
ment by Andrew Rau And Lloyd Otterbein. Residents and.voluntccrs alike
danced to the Golden Oldies while others hummed or sang to the familiar
tunes.

1 tin chicken gumbo soup
1 /2 tin water
salt and pepper to taste
• Brown hamburger, onion, garlic and celery. Salt and
Nipper to taste. Add all other Ingredients and aknmer 20
minutes. Serve over hamburger buns (either open or
