Santa on Holidays
By Jasmine Sereda, Grade 5
Precious Blood School
It was supper time and Mrs.
Claus was cooking Santa's favour-
ite food, hamburgers. While Mrs.
Claus was cooking supper, Santa
was seeing how the elves were do-
ing on the toys.
As soon as Mrs. Claus called out
"Supper time", the elves ran to the
door when Santa said "Line up be-
fore you have supper." So they all
lined up one by one.
Mark went first, then Carin, next
came Alanna, she was the tallest of
them all, then Paul and Peter. They
were twins. They were all the ones
who worked the hardest.
Then the rest came. Lisa was last
because she was the smallest and
the elves always pushed her. She
was a hard worker too, but she did
her job all alone, she looked after
the reindeer.
Then Santa let them in ',or\sup-
Art the supper table Santa said, "I
have an idea!"
"What is it?" a3ked Mrs. acts.
"I am going to Hawaii," sad Sin-'
ta.
`Before Christmas? You c t go
before Christmas!" said Mrs. laus.
Then Santa said, "Yes I can, just
for two weeks, and you can come
Mo." So they were, going tomor-
row.
Santa gave Elvin the head elf in
charge of them all.
So Santa and Mrs. Clays started
packing for Hawaii.
Why Christmas Is
Special to Me
By Emily, Grade 3
Usborae Central School
Christmas is a special time to me
because Iesus was born.
I like buying presents for people
and watch them open them. I also
like getting presents and playing
with them. But the real meaning of
Christmas Is to celebrate Jesus's
birthday. My favourite time is
when we go to get the tree.
We get the perfect tree and then
we go on a horse ride and get hot
chocolate. Then we can see some
animals. Then we go home and put
up the tree.
We eat supper and decorate the
tree.
On Christmas eve we put on a
Christmas CD and dance around
the tree.
Then we go to sleep.
When we have to go to the wash-
room we tell ourselves to wait.
When we wake up Christmas morn-
ing and see all the gifts, we can't
wait to open them.
When it is time for me to pick a
present I rip open the paper and see
what it is.
We have a very fun Christmas
and can't wait for next year's
Christmas.

They got onto the plane and flew
off the next morning.
The elves kept on working and
Lisa went to see the reindeer every
day.
Santa arrived at the airport and
took a bus to Hawaii and Santa
said, "This place is hot!" "Then
take your snow suit off," said Mrs.
Claus. He did.
When they left the North Pole it
was November 30 and today was
December 5 and they were going to
stay for two weeks.
Mrs. Claus wanted to go shop- ,
ping and so she did. She got Santa
something for Christmas. It was a
new snow suit, but this one was
sparkly.
It was December 18 and Santa
was sitting on the beach when Mrs.
Claus was in the hotel and she was
looking at the calendar. Then she
ran out and yelled "Santa, it is De-
cember 18." Santa ran into the ho-
tel and got packed and Mrs. Claus
did too.
They got onto the plane and flew
off quickly.
They arrived December -24 in;
afternoon and they ran to the e
and the elves were all ready. Lisa
had the reindeer ready with the
sleigh.
When it was night time Mrs.
Claus gave Santa his new snow suit
and he put it on.
Then Santa got his bag of
presents and went into his sleigh
and 1tudolph led the way.
The children were all happy and
so was Santa Claus.
He had the best Christmas ever.
