By Trip Payne Seniors enjoy Christmas dinner DASHWOOD - The Dashwood Seniors met at the Community Hall on November 25 with 53 members and four visitors present. After a blessing was said, they sat down to a Christmas dinner at 6 p.m. A brief business meeting was chaired by President Velma Rus- sell. A game of Bunco and some card games were played while the seniors enjoyed Christmas cake and punch. The next meeting will be held January 20 at the Community Hall at 12 noon with a potluck dinner. By Annie Morten Shipka correspondent SH1PKA - Seven tables of euchre were in play at Shipka Community Centre on November 20.Winners were: Ladies high, Aileen Ravelle; Ladies low, Isabelle Becker; Ladies most lone hands, Alwinna Gallo- way; Mens high, Keith Rock; Mens low, Fred Gibson; Mens most lone hands, Nola Lewis playing a man's card. The euchre parties at Shipka will continue in January after the holi- days. Ferman and Leota and all their family and grandchildren, 45 in all, including Jim, Judy and children, Keith and Nancy, Greenway, Ed and Gail and boys, Mt. Brydges, Esther and Ric Storey and sons, London, Suzanne and Otto Plein and children, Elmira, attended the Musselman pre -Christmas gather- ing (on Leota's side of the family), held at Sterling Mennonite Church in Kitchener, on November 27. Annie Zielman hosted the Janzen family pre -Christmas gathering (on Annie's side of the family) on De- cember 1. Forty relatives came A from Leamington, Essex, London, Exeter and Zurich. Earl and Marian Miller spent a recent weekend in Windsor with Fred and Diane Keller. Pat and Jake Schroeder, Hugh and Annie Morenz visited an after- noon in Brantford, with SueApne Schroeder, and had supper with her.
