A large number of friends, neigh- bors and relatives attended the open house at Shipka Community Centre on October 27 to help Cliff Russell celebrate his 80th birthday. Happy birthday wishes go this month to Elizabeth Adams. Alberdina Westerhof, who has been visiting relatives in Ontario for a month, returned last Saturday to her home in Dalfsen, Holland. Sympathy is expressed to Marg and Ken Baker in the death of Marg's sister, Grace (Wurm) Stead, at her home in Thorold. The funeral service was held November 5 at the Hammond Funeral Home in Tho- rold.
