Yes, a special water line needs to be installed for the icemaker, but it is a fairly easy job. You need to connect a 1/4 inch self - tapping shut-off valve (available at most hardware type stores) to the nearest cold water line beneath the kitchen floor. You then run a line of 1/4 inch soft copper tubing to the fridge, leaving 5.6 feet extra so that the refrigerator can still be rolled in and out of its space if needed. All the connections for the water line to the refrigerator are included with the icemaker kit, or the refrigerator, and "voila", You have ice and water at your fingertips. EXETER CO-OP SOUND ADVICE Q. Can I add speakers to my existing television to improve the sound? A Extra speakers can usually be added to your television, and will greatly improve the sound of movies, sports, or anything. There are a few methods which can be used in achieving this goal. The first step is to check the back of your television for speaker clips. There should be 2 black, and 2 red clips. If you have these, just plug in a pair of speakers and enjoy. If not, then look for a set of slip-on RCA type jacks labelled as "VARIABLE AUDIO OUT", or just AUDIO OUT". Now, if you have a small mini stereo with an "AUXILIARY INPUT", you can play your television through It, or the same way with a stereo or home theater amplifier. For more information, call or stop in and let us help you get your system up to par for Christmas. 63 MAIN ST. EXETER 235-0003 Hours: Mon -Fri. 11-8 • Sat. 9-6 FINANCIAL CONSULTANT Q. Can you explain why it is important that cat food has a low ash and magnesium content? Why should they have dry food opposed to caned cat food? A. The total mineral content of a food is what is known as ash. Ash refers to the residue leftover after lab analysis, during which the food is burnt at 600 deg. C. It is a common misconception that a low ash diet is ideal. While at one time, high ash foods were thought to cause bladder stones, ft's been proven that this is not the case. A low magnesium content in food is important, however, in seducingbladder stones and infections. As far as dry cat foodascompared to canned is concerned, it is the pet owner's choice.
