Printing office etiquette- A
lady asks us whether etiquette
requires one to knock on the
door of an editor' sanctum be-
fore entering. We hasten to re-
ply if you are coming to pay
your subscription, bringing in a
nice juicy note of news, don't
stop to knock, but just walk in
as if you own the pace.
If on the other hand you are
on a collecting tour, you
should make the fact known
through the window and then
knock on the door until the edi-
tor opens it. You may sink
down from exhaustion before
he does so, but you will be ad-
hering to printing office eti-
quette.
