By Carmel Sweeney The grade 7 and 8 pupils of the Zurich public school recently en- joyed a bus trip to Toronto and go- ing to the Metro Zoo, the C.N. tow- er and Sportsworld. The grade 5 and 6 class also went to the zoo in Toronto. The grade 4 children took a bus to Sarnia to see the tunnel while kindergarten 1 and 2 enjoyed going to the Children's Museum and Din- amations, Dinosaurs. Be sure to go see "Peter Pan" at the Huron Country Playhouse which runs till July 2. It's great to see Joey Denomme, Zurich, as one of the Lost Boys (the twins) and Keriann O'Rourke as one of the In- dians. Best wishes for a speedy recov- ery is extended to Marilee Ayotte who is a patient in London Hospi- tal. Happy birthday wishes go out to Thea VandeBoom on June 22 at Bayview and happy "10th" anniver- sary to our daughter and son-in-law Heather and Paul Klopp on June 23. As well, Jerome and Carmel Sweeney will he celebrating their '32nd" anniversary on June 23. Beth Sweeney, Toronto, spent Father's Day weekend in Zurich with her family and had just recent- ly returned from a week's trip to Georgia to visit with Dan and Car- rie Eyhergen and girls. The Blue Water Rest Home will be holding their annual family din- ner for the residents on Sunday, June 26 (which is always a deli- cious meal and an entertaining af- ternoon). Members of the Ladies Auxiliary and Board will also be on hand to help serve. Mozart and Marie Gelinas Sr. will be attending the Confirmation ceremony of their grandson Derek Getinas in Dorchester on Wednes- day, June 22 (son of Marc and Cindy). Little "Colin James Gingerich" son of Rick and Margie Gingerich was baptized on Sunday, June 19 at St. Boniface Church by Fr. Wron- ski. Gwen McKellar of the Spruce Villa Apt. spent last week in Strat- ford visiting with family members, and with son Gary and Sharon Bak- er who was also visiting from Ke- lowna B.C. On Saturday, a get- together was held at the home of Jim and Cindy Baker as a little re- union - since they haven't been down from B.C. for nine years. Several from the area are busy taking part in the Tri -County Sen- ior Games being held this Monday and Tuesday in Strathroy doing such things as:" playing cribbage. bridge, euchre, solo, crokinole, golfing, bowling, walking and playing snooker. A banquet was held in Strathroy afterward. John Groot Sr. celebrated his birthday on June 16 with friends and relatives over for dinner. Kathy Merner, Toronto, spent the weekend with her parents Bob and Tootle Merner and family. Kathy is presently skating at Canada's Wonderland (Hot ice Show) and if you want to go down to see her, the Optimist Club is having a bus trip there on Saturday, July 16 which leaves the arena at 8 a.m. and arriving hack that night. NOTICE TO PUBLIC UTILITIES WATER CONSUMERS To conserve water the Exeter Public Utilities will limit the use of hoses for the watering of lawns and gardens. This requirement includes new lawns and sod. Effective immediately and until further notice, the following schedule for the use of hoses will be permitted. Please note revised hours: Residential Customers (households) Sunday to Saturday inclusive 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Commercial Customers (businesses) Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Some customers are watering lawns and gardens at the rear of their house during the restricted hours. Customers disregarding the restric- tion periods_will be given one reminder of the restriction and if there is a reoccurrence the customer risks a fine, or having their pressure re- •:uced, that would eliminate watering with a hose for the balance of the summer. The commission does not wish to curtail any customers watering, but in fairness to all customers that adhere to the restriction it must en- force this policy.'
