Talent show benefits
EXETER - "For two bucks, it
was such a good show, it was un-
believable," said Art Hunking, a
member of the Optimist Club that
helped organize Sunday's Country
Roads Talent Search.
Country radio station BX -93
sponsored the event and brought in
the "semi-professional" talent for
the show - some of whom were
from the London area.
Attendance for the show at the
South Huron Recreation Centre ran
around 200 in all, which was
"down more than a bit" from what
the Optimist Club had anticipated.
Competing with good spring weath-
er and the London Air Show was
likely a big factor for the audience.
However, because BX -93 picked
up the tab for all costs associated
with the show, the Optimists will
still be able to donate something to-
wards the Exeter public swimming
pool renovations project. The club
had pledged all proceeds from the
show would be donated to the pool
fund.

May 24: Kim McLean gave a
presentation on Power of Attorney
and Living Wills. Many questions
were asked and answered. Poem

You".

choir entertained with music and
songs.
