Page 22 Times -Advocate, June 8, 1994 Piano recital for BW residents ZURICH - Monday evening Idel- la Gabel entertained the residents with a piano recital by her students. Michelle and Kristine 'Miller, Ca- resse Bedard, Roberta Smith, Jenni- fer Regier, Carrie Iliman, Stephanie and Marcel Gelinas, Maggi Iliman, Alisha Estep and Mollie Gowdy performed for their attentive audi- ence. Many of the residents remember the piano recital from the previous year and could appreciate what had been accomplished by the pianists the past year. Tuesday morning the Grade five Buddies from St. Boniface School visited the rest home and showed the residents their collections. Some brought baseball cards, dolls, miniature toys, tractor collections and discussed their collection with their Buddy. The residents were en- tertained with piano solos, dance routines and gymnastic demonstra- tions. Soon the children will be out of school, but before they go they plan a picnic with the residents on June 17. On May 27 a bus trip was en- joyed by Nelson Howe, Esther Ma- kins, Susan Leslie, Theodore (Ted) Steinbach, Alice Knowles, Edna Johnston, Catherine Riehl and An- nie Martin. They toured Huron Park, saw various kinds of aircraft lined up near the runways for the Grand Bend Air Show, travelled to Greenway, Corbett,_ saw potato farms and returned by Grand Bend and St. Joseph. Rev. Mark Gaskin, Carmel/ Caven Presbyterian Church, Exeter/ Hensall conducted Thursday after- noon Chapel Service. Fr. Matthias Wronski, St. Boniface Church, Zu- rich celebrated Mass. Rev. Galli Lazaro, Zurich United Church held Bible Study on Tuesday afternoon. Condolences to the family of the late Theresa Duchanne who passed away peacefully at BWRH on June 6. Theresa will be dearly missed h) her children and grandchildren and the many friends she and her late husband had acquired over the years as resideptssof the Zurich area. The residents look forward to a visit from the Home Auxiliary on June 7, a birthday party on June 12, for Ruby Hoggarth's 90th birthday and the annual resident/family din- ner on June 26.
