Euchre tournament in Zurich

ZURICH - This Saturday the Optimist Club is
sponsoring a Euchre tournament at the Hay Town-
ship Hall. The tournament begins at 1:30 p.m, and
everyone is welcome.
The next Mother's Time support group meeting
ill be next Wednesday downstairs at St. Boniface
urch from 9:15 - 11:15 a.m. The speaker will be
n Keillor of the Huron -Perth Centre, speaking on
parenting concerns. The suggested fee per session is
S3 and babysitting is provided.
A PTA meeting was held last Tuesday at St. Boni-
face School.
Theresa Van Raay chaired the meeting and the
group discussed having a dinner for the Grade 8
graduation this year. They also discussed ordering
school T-shirts and sweat pants.
As well, they decided to have a babysitting course
fuer the March Break for interested 12 -year-olds.
The PTA was also asked to purchase equipment to
help upgrade the computer system and a motion was
made to do so.
Speeches were said by students in Grade 4, 5 and 6
with Candice Becker, Melissa Welsch and Brian Ver
Munt winning.
Many women from Zurich travelled to the CWL
fun night held at the Blyth Arena last Wednesday to
enjoy a pot luck and entertainment provided by sev-
eral CWL councils.
Happy Birthday wishes are extended to Roy Hart-
man who turned 60. A family get together was held
in his honour last Friday night at the home of Pat and
Evelyn Regier with a few card games, social visiting
and lunch.

nas Jr., and Jerome and Carmel Sweeney along with
relatives from the surrounding area attended the bap-
tismtl of Kacey Rothenbern Brantford on Satur-
day. She is the daughter ofRose-Marie and Jeff Ro-
thenberg.
Youth for Christ rally
BRUCEFIELD - The February
rally of Youth for Christ was held
on Saturday, February 5, at Bruce -
field School.
Special music was provided by
Jerome and Elaine Fabian and Fred
and Marianne Spink. They also led
the group in several choruses.
Rob Steckle concluded the bible
quiz, in which two teams participat-
ed, Zurich and Centralia.
The film the Pretenders was
shown.
The next rally will be March 5
with Serge LeClere and special mu-
sic by Peter Albert Kun Junior. The
group encourages all youth to come
to this rally, aimed especially at
young people.
ANNUAL MEETING
The annual meeting of the policyholders of the
Usborne & Hibbert Mutual Fire Insurance Company
will be held in the Kirkton-Woodham Community
Centre at 2:00 p.m . on Monday, February 21,
1994 to receive and dispose of the Financial and
Auditor's Reports; to elect Directors and to transact
any business that may rightly come before the
meeting.
Nominations will be received for the election of two
Directors for a three year term. The Directors whose
term of office expires are Jack Hodgert and Larry
Gardiner, both of whom are eligible for re-election.
