Atom Broncs sweep
Lambeth three games
EXETER - Mark Bilinsky
scored the winning goal in front
of a crowded Lambeth net on
Sunday afternoon to life the Ex-
eter Atom Broncos to a 3-2 win
over visiting Lambeth.
The win saw the Broncos win
the Ontario Minor Hockey Asso-
ciation playoff series three
games straight and they now ad-
vance to take on the winner be-
tween Dresden and Ridgetown.
On Sunday, Ryan Groot and
Mike Seip also scored in the
close game while Craig Over-
holt picked up two assists.
Friday night in Lambeth, the
Broncos had little trouble in a
big 8-1 win. Overholt had a goal
and three assists while Seip and
Brandon Martin each had two
goals and a set up. Also scoring
were Tyler Taylor, Steven Ra-
senberg and Ryan Groot.
Last Wednesday in Lambeth,
the visiting Broncos won 7-1 as
Ben Rader, Bilinsky and Over-
holt all had two tallies each with
the other to Seip.
Goalie Ryan Sullivan picked
up three straight playoff wins
between the pipes for Exeter.
Peewees advance
Dave Marshall had a goal and
set up five more as the Exeter
Peewee Legions thumped Ridge -
town 12-1 on Sunday. That gave
fhe Legions a two game sweep
in the four -point series.
Also having outstanding of-
fensive games for the winners
were Tyler Bourne and Jason
Grenier each with three goals
while Jeff Campbell had two
goals and three assists. Klan
MacDougall, Brian Parsons and
Greg Geoffrey also connected.
Friday Campbell netted the hat
trick in a 6-1 win. Geoffrey,
Grenier and Marshall also
scored while Chad Dalrymple
and Scan Guenther each had
two assists.
Bantams beaten
Captain Jeff MacLean had
three assists as the Exeter ban-
tam Legionnaires lost 4-3 to vis-
iting Ridgetown last Wednes-
day.
Scoring for Exeter were Geoff
Mayer, Gavin Poole and Brian
Richardson.
Exeter travelled to Ridgetown
on Monday and the series comes
hack to the South Huron Recrea-
tion Centre tonight.
Midgets win fifth
The RSD Midget Generals
picked up their fifth straight
playoff win on the weekend as
they eliminated Forest.
Last Wednesday they won 5-2
as Gavin Snell netted a pair with
singles from Trevor Taylor,
Marty DeBruyn and Adam Jean.
Exeter's Chad Giifillan separat-
ed his shoulder and he'll be out
for three to six weeks. Three
stars, Adam Jean, Mark Bell, Ja-
son Clay.
Sunday, Chris McDonald
fired one goal and set up four
more in a 9-2 win in Forest. De-
Bruyn netted four goals with
one each to Snell, Bill Hodge
and Mark Bell. Three stars, De-
Bruyn, Bell, McDonald.
McDonald leads the team in
playoff scoring with one goal
and 13 assists. DeBruyn now
has nine goals and three assists.
Exeter now awaits the winner
of Dresden and Lambeth both
have been Neaten by the Gener-
als in post -season.

`B' championships
ZURICH - A pair of Zurich novice teams won the 'B' side of their own
-tournament-on the weekend: - - '
At the Zurich Minor Athletic Association 16 -team tournament, Zurich
won the 'B' of the local league with a 2-0 win over Dorchester. Michael
Groot and Scott Turkheim scored for the winners while goalie Justin Sou-
dan( had the shutout.
The Zurich local league got to the 'B' final after they dropped a 1-0 game
to Forest Boyd's Foodland but bounced hack to beat Parkhill 3-1. In that
game, Groot had two goals and the other went to Eric Ihrig.
Zurich's rep team beat Burford 7-2 to win the B' title. Nathan Regier had
the hat trick for the winners with two from Kraig Eckel and singles from
Craig Masse and Jeffery Beauchamp.
The rep team opened with a 2-1 overtime loss to Ilderton on Regier's
lone goal. In the second game, Zurich heat Wallaceburg 4-0 as Lee Fink-
heiner had two goals and an assist and Beauchamp and Reiger also con-
nected.
Thamesford beat Belgrave 2-1 in overtime to win the local league 'A'
crown while Ilderton blanked Lambeth 8-0 for the rep 'A'.
Covering up the puck during Sunday's novice local league
toumament was Zurich goalie Justin Soudant. He helped the
locals to a 2-0 win over Dorchester.
