Rev. Bill Jones led the service
and Rev. Stephen Emery's
message was about "Fear of the
unknown, letting go of control and
trusting in the Messiah".

Sunday, Pastor Normalic Voakes
entitled her sermon "Turning on
the Light" and the lessons wcrc
from 2nd Kings 2, 2nd Corinthians

"Beside the still waters."
A luncheon followed the service
after which thc annual meeting
was held, chaired by Pastor
Voakes. Marilyn Humphrey was
the secretary when all reports wcrc
reviewed and accepted.
Bill Thompson was named 10 the
session, the Board of Stewards
remains the sante, and Leroy Bryan
will he the Chairman of the Board
of Trustees.

AFFECTING THE TOWNSHIP OF USBORNE
• TO DETERMINE THE NEED FOR REVISIONS TO THE USBORNE TOWNSHIP SECONDARY PLAN
• TO CONSIDER A PROPOSED OFFICIAL PLAN AMENDMENT
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the County of Huron and the Council of the
Corporation of the Township of Usborne will hold a public meeting on TUESDAY, MARCH 22,
1994 at 7:30 p.m. in the Kirkton-Woodham Community Centre, Hwy. #23, North of Kirkton. At
the public meeting commencing at 7:30 p.m., the following will be considered.
1. To allow the public to comment on the need for revisions of the Secondary Plan for the
Township of Usborne under Section 26 of the Planning Act, RSO, 1990. The Planning Act
requires that municipalities provide the public with the opportunity through a special meeting of
Council to comment on the need for revisions to the Secondary Plan. This meeting is an
opportunity for persons with comments or suggested changes to make their thoughts known to
Council.
2. To consider a proposed official plan amendment under Section 17 of the Planning Act, RSO,
1990. The proposed plan amendment will update the existing Secondary Plan and includes the
following:
• update the plan by adding and revising references to the Planning Act;
• update the plan by identifying minor wording changes and technical information;
• add provisions under Section 38 of the Planning Act, allowing Council to authorize Temporary
Use By-laws;
• the development of undeveloped lands in an existing or proposed plans of subdivision will
require roads to be built to Township and Ministry of Transportation standards by the
developer and subsequently assumed by the municipality. Access roads to the subdivisions
must be public and assumed by the municipality. If the access road has not already been
assumed by the Township, then the access road shall be built to Township and Ministry
standards at the expense of the developer prior to the assumption of the subdivision roads by
the Township;
• to discuss the options of implementing surplus residence policies;
• Schedule B is modified by creating a new schedule (Schedule D) for the urban area of Kirkton
as shown on the attached Schedule
