zel Eaton with Mary Davis and
Heather MacGillivray as program
leaders.
Sincere sympathy is extended to
Rose and Arnold Cunningham and
family with the death of Rose's
mother this past week from your
friends at St. Patricks.
Margaret Carroll, Suzanne Davis
and Hazel Davis from St. Patticks
attended St. Paul's bazaar on Satur-
day.
Suzanne Davis was guest Sun-
day at the SOth Wedding Anniver-
sary party for Uncle and Aunt Te-
resa and John Glavin held at the
home of their son and daughter-in-
law Ken and Mary Glavin.

few days with parents Bob and
Alexis Tindall.
HENSALL - Residents at Queensway have been singing their heart out
this week! On Monday afternoon, the women from the Bethel Reformed
Church in Exeter helped with bingo, and then entertained with song. Joyce
Pepper played the piano for some favourite tunes.
Shirley Luther from the Salvation Army, was the special leader for
church worship. She had people singing old familiar songs from Sunday
School days. This brought back a lot of fond memories and a smile to eve-
ryone's face.
On Wednesday, a few people gathered together in the sunroom for a so-
cial hour of tea and trivia.
On Thursday many residents participated in games aftemoon; some
played euchre, while others tried their skills at crokinole or checkers. Er-
vin Greb and Laurence Falconer are still battling it out for first place in the
checkers championships.
The week was complete after an enjoyable Saturday afternoon movie
matinee. The feature movie for this week was entitled "Fried Green Toma-
toes."
Upcoming events:
November 11 - Remembrance Day Service; November 12 - Men's Cof-
fee Hour; November 14 - bingo and Hymn Sing.
Christmas
Bazaar in
Zurich
ZURICH - Last Monday after-
noon, prior to the five hour "black
out," the residents of Blue Water
Rest Home enjoyed the movie
"Fried Green -Tomatoes" with Jessi-
ca Tandy playing the leading role.
Of course the generator kicked in to
keep the residents with basic light-
ing; however the kitchen staff had
to pull out their rubber gloves and
attacked the stack of dishes by
hand. Automation is such a lovely
thing when you have hydro!
Last Tuesday evening the Home
Auxiliary entertained the residents
for their monthly meeting. Martha
Ducharme, chairperson introduced
her quartet guests - Alfred and Ver-
na Ropp of Tavistock and Morgan
and Mae Baer of New Hamburg
who furnished delightful music. Al-
fred also played harmonica and
keyboard solos. Viola Ramer and
Ina Neeb read poems and a lunch
of breads and cheese was served by
Neeb, Ramer and Gladys Ginge-
rich. Bill Burr helped arrange the
chairs for the evening.
Wednesday afternoon tea was
served by Gladys Gingerich who
also acts as volunteer driver for the
Home.
Just a reminder, the Home Auxil-
iary is planning its Christmas Ba-
zaar for Saturday, November 13
from 2-3:30 p.m. Lots of crafts and
baked goods will be on display.
The residents' Annual Family
Christmas Dinner will be held at
the home on Saturday, November
28. Entertainment starts at 3:00
p.m. and the fust dinner setting at
4:00 p.m. Last year the Home wel-
comed over 350 guests and looks
forward to another successful after-
noon.
