Lois Hatfgins
Lois Hodgins, of RR 2 Crediton has been volunteering with
a number of organizations for more than 30 years.
She may be best recognized in the comm uniry for the hours
she spends touring schools, services clubs and heritage day
celebrations with her collection of antique kitchen utensils
that she has acquired over the past 20 years.
And between the seminars on antiques Hodgins has been
church organist for some 36 years at St. Mary's Church in
Brinsley. Recently she decided to play just on a part time ba-
sis.
Hodgins is also active in many social clubs where she does
square dance calling, and baking among ether things.
She and husband Harvey are also original members of she
Brinsley Euchre Club and organizes _activities of the group.
Right now, Hodgins is busy sewing Hallowe'en costumes
that she lends out to family and friends.
She said juggle the many volunteer commitments isn't d -
cult. -
"If you really want to do something, you'll find the time,"
she said.
The -South '41tmn l•Aux1Uery held its semi-annual
rummage sale last Wednesday evening and Thursday
morning. At top, the crowd bursts through the doors of
. ter waiting patiently in the rain for the bargains. ' Unoffi-
cial results say that the auxiliary raised over $9,000 for
hospital projects -through last week's sale. Below, Volun-
teers try to keep their displays organized as bargain
hunters attack the hundreds of books and magazines for
sale.

the club's"recent October luncheon
meeting at the Royal Canadian Le-
gion.
Mary Robinson introduced guest
speaker Cindy Maxfield, Thedford-
Basanquet Recreation Program Co-
ordinator, who presented informa-
tion and showed a video about the
Seniors -Exercise Program now in
progress in the Southoott Pines
clubhouse.
President Ron Dann chaired the
meeting and reported attending the
Ontario Senior Games Bolton Con-
ference _as a •Butene Perth -
Middlesex District delegate.
.Lloyd Mousseau reported the
foul new outdoor courts have been

tective fence installed. The new
courts will be lined and .canopies
added in the spring. Indoor shuffle-
