to pick cherries. The group brought
back a large pail full for the kitchen
staff.

Thursday afternoon Chapel Ser-
vice. Fr. Matthias Wronski, St.
Boniface Church, Zurich celebrated
Mass. On July 8 Rev. John Hilborn,
Exeter United Church conducted
Chapel Service. A thank you to
Beatrice Rader, B.W.R.H. Apart-
ments, who on many occasions
plays the organ at the services to
assist the ministers.

met on Tuesday, July 13 in the par-
ish hall. There was a CWL Bake
sale and vegetable sale at all week-
end masses for July 17-18.

is being planned during the Novena

John and Gera Peters have invit-
ed their family and fellow parish-
ioners to a special anniversary
Mass on Tuesday, July 20, at 7:15
p.m. to celebrate 25 years of mar-
riage. A small reception follows,
held in the Parish Hall. Congratula-
tions only. Coffee and doughnuts
will be screed after all Masses next
weekend as a monthly, parish get-
together in the church hall.
On August 15, Bishop Fred Hen-
ry will celebrate the 11 a.m. Mass
of the Assumption of Mary. Then
he will bless the new Parish Centre
and join everyone in refreshments
and fellowship.
CWL meeting
Members of the Catholic Wom-
en's League met on Tuesday, July
13 in the Parish Hall of Immaculate
Heart of Mary. Following a Mass
in the church at 7:15 p.m. the meet-
ing began at 8 p.m. chaired by
CWL president Lia Vandenberk.
Plans were finalized for the two
summer bake and vegetable sales,
to be held at all weekend Masses
.on July 17-18 and August 28-29.
Ladies are reminded to return
their sold quilt raffle tickets as soon
as possible to Toni Vandenberk, for
the draw on August 29. The presi-
dent thanked all the ladies and their
husbands who helped with the par-
ish pancake breakfast last month -
there was even a small profit from
the event.
A pilgrimage to St. Mary's Shrine
is tentatively being planned for
Tuesday, August 17. Please call
Toni Vandenberk to register.
June was Seniors month. In July
everyone is encouraged to visit the
sick and the lonely as a spiritual
work of mercy.
Arrangements were made for re-
freshments to be served on August
15 when Bishop Fred Henry will be
here to bless the new parish hall.

Geiser are co-chairs of the Glad
Days for Epilepsy to be heli Au-
gust 5-8 in Grand Bend, Hensall,
Huron Park, Exeter, Zurich and
Bayfield. The flowers arrive on
Thursday. August 5, and will be
sold on Friday at the TD Bank, on
Saturday at Sunshine Village
Foods, and at Masses in the Catho-
lic Church and the 11 a.m. service
at the United Church.
Father Paul Beck demonstrated
the new organ in the church hall,
donated by the family of the recent-
ly deceased church organist, 19ul
Dietrich.
A dish washer will be purchased
soon, for the kitchen in the new
parish centre. A parish council is
being organized, and will noon be
available to act as an advisory body
for the parish affairs.
There is no CWL meeting in Au-
gust, so the next date is September
14, Tuesday, 8 p.m. After refresh-
ments were served, Father Beck
stowed the members a video on
SADD, Students Against Drunk
Driving.
