Following a presentation by the. Golden Agers Club, council decid- ed to give the group a piece of mu- nicipal .property to be used for new shuffleboard courts. cl Discussion over the location of 'se the courts has continued for a couple of months but now it ap- pears as though the four courts will be built between the Public Works Department's storage area and the pavilion. However, the decision to allow the courts to go there was met with a great deal of opposition as two of the five council members were against the location. "I believe we're making one more mistake," said councilor Phil Ma- guire. "Don't get me wrong, 1 don't want to hold you (Golden Agers) up but I believe they're in the wrong place." Both Maguire and councillor Cam Iver indicated shat the area chosen is already congested with buildings and recreational fields.
