The Exeter Legion Ladies Auxiliary played bingo with .the residents and provided prizes in the evening. Tuesday the monthly birthday party was beld with Kountry Kor- ners supplying the entenairunent. Families and friends of students also attended. Friday morning a special coffee hour was enjoyed by the male resi- dent for Father's Day. Homemade doughnuts were served with coffee. People started gathering be- .1bre 2:00 p.ni. to pick up early ,dinner numbers. Everyone entered a festive mood when Gordon Hatch of Bayfield plugged in his key- board at 3:00 p.m. Later Mozart Gelinas, Gladys VanEgmond .and Leona McBride performed a musi- cal program. Tuesday morning the St. Boni- face Grade 5 Buddies visited the residents for a picnic and kind fare- well. Wednesday afternoon Gladys Martin and Geraldine Eckel super- vised twelve residents while attend- ing the Seniors' Town Picnic at the Zurich Community Centre. July 11 at 2:30 p.m. an Open House Birthday Party will be held at the home for Anna Heckniareand her great-grandson Eric Voogel. Anna celebrated a happy 85th birth- day on April 28 and Eric celebrated his sixth on June 13. Eric, sister Evonne, and mom Carolyn are vis- iting from Winterbum, Alberta. Anna's family and friends are invit- ed for cake and refreshments. Jean Triebner presided over the meeting and led in the hymn "Send the Light". Ruth McLaren prayed over the service. They then sang the hymn "Jesus the Light of the World". The roll call was then -taken by Shirley Proutyand:answered by a scripture verse on "Light". There were 13 present.'Lhe message of the after- noon was given by Shirley Prouty, her theme was "Light, text Psalm 27:1-8 John 8:12-30. Helen Ken- drick ,.gave a reading from Billy Graham 'Wehave Hope". Items were brought in for Brae- side Camp for missionaries. A do- nation of money will be sent to Northland Mission.
