Times Advocate, 1993-05-19, Page 29O. Hay -Zurich landfill agreement still unsigned ZURICH - A landfill operating agreernerit between Hay Township and the Village of Zurich has yet to be signed. - The agreement would oversee the sharing of costs and responsibilities for the landfill which the township purchased from private owners late last year. The agreement's one main disputed item, according to Zurich council, is a clause to re- solve potential disputes between the municipalities over the landfill. Zurich reeve Bob Fisher said he prefers to see the agreement spell out that unresolved disputes could be settled by the Ontario Municipal Board, a view which Hay council doesn't share. Fisher said he wants to see some kind of mechanism to solve dis- putes written into the agreement. The good will of the present coun- cils may not last forever. "We have to consider it may not be the same council there in five Lori Maaskant M.D. graduated friday, May 14 from McMaster .University, Hamilton, Faculty of -Health.Sciences.: Dr. Maaskant will be intemingrin Torbnto.
