Last Tuesday Rev. Vandermeer
held the church service which was
inspiring. A special thanks to Joyce
Pepper who war the -accompanying
organist.
Excitement was in theair.on.St.
Patrick's . Day as everyone pulled
out their green to help celebrate the
Irish day and of course to help hon-
our our volunteers. Wcdnesday-af-
temoon _ at our Arcual Volunteer
Appreciation Day, many vohaneers
enjoyed entertainment performed
by our =residents.
Edith Bell sang two:Irish:favour-
ites - When Irish Eyes are Smiling

and My Wild -Irish Rose.
Lloyd McDougall whistled .the
tune, The Yellow Rose of Texas. A
reading about 'the Legend of St.
Patrick was read by Miktned.Oinge-
rich.
There was a small choir,of resi-
dents who sang a number of songs
for -the grand finale. Musical -ac-
companiment was -provided by
Joyce Pepper. Door -prizes were
won by Aaron .Lebold, . Hazel Cor-
bett, Andy Rau, Helen Toorasira
and Ralph Stephenson.
-On Friday .afternoon the baling
club men for :an:afternoon of -remi-
niscing and visiting. They made a
big batch of lace wafers. Everyone
enjoyed these .fancy :little cookies
hot out of the oven with their.after-
