Papple - Ducharme
The Lord GDd said "It is not
good for the mento be alone.
I will make a helper suitable
for him.: "For this reason a
man will leave his father and
mother and be united to his
wife and they will become
one flesh." (Genesis 2:18,
24). Paul and Dorothy Du-
charme and Don and Jeannie
Papple are pleased to an-
nounce the marriage of their
children, Lianne and Bruce,
on October 24, 1992. The
marriage took place at the Ex-
eter Pentecostal Tabemacle
and the reception took place
at Oakwood Inn, Grand Bend.
The couple now resides in Ex-
eter 9ntario.
I was standing in the
middle of the chaos of my
kitchen on Saturday trying
to get some order, and not
succeeding very quickly.
It seemed that I had prom-
ised to make something
different for each member
-of the family,'and'I-was
trying to have it done be- '
fore they arrived home from their various pursuits.
• I was listening to my favourite, CBC radio, and the science
show which usedto be Jay Ingram's "Quirks and Quarks". I
think Bob MacKenzie is the host now, but anyway that is be-
sidethe point.
Myson.has developed an interest in astronomy. I'm not sure
if itis just a way to be allowed to stay/411p later or not, but the
'interest is'there. That is also beside the point...but not really.
:But, back to Saturday. Over the radio I heard that the Rus-
sian space station MIR will be passing over Canada and per-
forming an experiment never done before. It will be flying
closely with the spacecraft Progress, and they will be attempt-
ing touse a mirror to shine light from the sun onto the.dark
side of the Earth. From what I understood, the light will only
last for about a second as the spacecraftifly overhead, but the
flash of light could be as bright as a full moon and cause a
shadow to move around you, if you are lucky enough to be
standing in its path.
MIR and.Progress will be readily visible from Earth as two
fairly bright lights passing through the sky, and even if you are
not lucky enough to see the flash of light from the mirror, for
those of you that are up, or those of you who are interested
enough to take the time and make the effort to see them, the
viewing times ate as follows: (It probably .wouldn't>hun,to be
outside about 10 minutes before and 10 minutes after just to be
sure.)
Thursday, February 4, 6:32 a.m., look north about 1/3 of the
way up from the horizon. The craft will be travelling from
west to north-east.
Friday, February 5, 5:35 a.m., look north and the craft
should pass high overhead frpm west to east.
Saturday, February 6, 6:15 a.m.., again face north and look
overhead. The craft will passtfrom west to north-east.

Good news? As we age, we get fewer colds.
Although we can catch colds at any time of the
year, most occur in the fall winter because
we spend more time indoors and the virus is
more easily spread.
Aluminum is one of the most abundant elements on earth. It is known
that Alzheimer's patients have from 10-50 times the normal amount
of aluminum in their brains, but no one knows if this actually causes
the disease or not,
Where do we get our dietary aluminum from? Aluminum is found in.
baking powder, processed cheese, fruits and vegetables (which get it
from the soil), buffered aspirin and some antacides. But don't throw
out all those aluminum pots and pans. Aluminum from this source is
very minimal.
To minimize the swelling from a sprain, use RICE. this acronym
stands for Rest the injury; apply Ice for 20 minutes at a time for a
couple days; Use Qompression via a support bandage; Elevate the In-
jury about the the level of the heart.
