Geddes chose as his text "What Do These Stones Mean?" and spoke on past wars and soldiers who gave their lives. The Last Pest was sounded followed by two minutes of silence in honour of the war dead. On Saturday evening the mem- bers are holding a turkey supper at 6 p.m. Advance tickets only with one sitting only. Next Sunday, No- vember 15 a poor boy hotdog lunch will follow the morning service served by the Sunday School. Pro- ceeds will be given to the churich. Centralia Faith Tabernacle news CENTRALIA - The Building Committee met with the Archltect who presented them with the draw- ings of the new Church which are now approximately 50 peroent completed. They are now studying these drawings and making changes and'revisions and will meet to dis- cuss what they have studied on Tuesday evening. Saturday night, the "Faith Walk- ers" participated in their first quiz team competition and did very well for first time quizzers. They are now busy studying the next portion of scripture for the next quiz night on December 5. The Youth Group as well as adults showed them great support and also enjoyed the testi- mony of Youth Pastor Don Moore from Witmont Missionary Church. On Sunday, Rev. Morley and Gloria Bordes from Carpenters- 'villc, Illinois ministered .through word and song in both the morning and evening services. Rev. Bordes ministered on "Spiritual blindness" in the morning and in the evening asked the question: Do you really believe what you believe in? On Fnday, November 13 at 7:30 the ladies are meeting at the church for an evening of Christmas wreath making. Cathy Swance will be demonstrating many ways to deco- rate wreaths. The Secret Sisters in- vite all ladies to come and enjoy a fun evening together. Bring your own supplies and Cathy will pro- vide lots of ups and ideas, or just come, watch and enjoy! GB Golden Agers meet By Jean Dann GRAND BEND - The November meeting of the Grand Bend Golden Agers Club was held last Wednes- day at the Royal Canadian Legion. President Ron Dann informed the members of correspondence re- ceived from the Grand Bend Parks and Recreation Committee inviting input from the Golden Agers Club in preparation for a five year needs assessmen L As a result, a new Golden Agers Club Recreation Committee was established to include Carf Cann, Jack Beachey, Nora Vickers, Willa Williams, Bert Pullen and Ron Dann. The committee met this Tuesday to consider its long range needs for major recreation facilities in Grand Bend and Area. Recom- mendations will be presented to the Parks and Recreation Committee to aid the Village in its grant requests. Eileen and Bert Pullen were pre- sented with a gift and card in cele- bration of their 50th wedding anni- versary. The Club voted to purchase a wreath to be laid at the Cenotaph by Club representative Ed Vickers during the Royal Canadian Legion Remembrance Day service. Club treasurer Nola Love an- nounced the financial success of the Farmers Market and the Fall Rally of the United Senior Citizens of Ontario District 8 hosted by the Golden Agers.
