TAKE NOTICE that the Corporation of the Town of Exeter on be-
half of the EXETER CEMETERY BOARD hereby gives notice in ac-
oOMantle with Section 50(5) of the Cemeteries Act (Revised)
end the regulations thereto as follows:
1. THAT an application has been made to the Registrar of Ce
meteries at the Ministry of Consumer and Commercial Relations
for approval of a new set of by-laws governing the operations of
the Exeter Public Cemetery.
2. THAT any interested persons may visit the office at the Exet-
er Public Cernetery or the Municipal Office weekdays between 9
a.m. and 5 p.m. for the purpose of inspecting and making cop
les of the proposed by -lot's. The proposed by-laws are subject
to the approval of the Registrar.
3. THAT this notice is pu Ilshed in the Exeter Times Advocate,
is posted at the entrance f the Exeter Public Cemetery, and is
sent to each supplier of markers who has delivered a marker to
the cemetery during the last twelve months.

The summer Mud Run was held
on the Emerson Wallis farm, north
of Granton on Saturday and Sun-
day.
The strawberries came into sea-
son last week only to be • slowed
down by the unusual cold weather
we have been having.
The Thames Road United Church
ham and strawberry supper was a
popular choice by numerous people
from the community last Monday
evening.
The Granton United Church pork
and strawberry supper held at the
park pavilion was also well attend-
ed last Wednesday evening.
Speaking of strawberries, some
Granton people finally succumbed
to the Strawberry Tea sign in front
of St. John the Devine Anglican
Church at Arva _'and dropped in to
enjoy it on Saturday. afternoon. .
At the St. Thomas' Anglican
church on Sunday, the Reverend
Stephen Emery was the celebrant
for the 109th Anniversary service.
The guest preacher was Rev. Hank
Kanters of Cambridge who sifoke
about God coming into his heart
and how he was empowered by thel
Holy Spirit. Olive Hodgins was the
reader and Paul Acres and Melanie
Beatson assisted as servers.
The choir sang the anthem "Why
not accept Him now" accompanied
by the organist Marlene French.
A time of fellowship followed the
service.
At the Granton United Church on
Sunday, Pastor Normalie Voakes
entitled her sermon "Members of
One Family.".
The Oddfellows and Rebekahs,
were in attendance and the lessons
were read by District Deputy
George Hales, Noble Grand June
Rogers oY-Thortdaic, and Warden-
Bill Burke of Monkttxi.
The Ministry of Music was pro-
vided m solos "Whero'er you
Walk' "TIw Lard's Prayer" by
Cindy Bilyca, an tinhorn by the
choir and the Granton fathers'
ret Copeland read a poem "•Fa-
thers" .

Flowers in the sanctuary were in
memory of the deceased Rebekah
and Oddfellow members. Also
Mervin Wass and Marion Rowe
had given a basket of flowers in
memory of their father Morley
Wass.
Granton W.I.
The Granton Women's Institute
met in St. Marys at the home of
Olive Hodgins • last Tuesday eve-
ning. The program topic was safety
and members answered the roll call
with measures of safety. Muriel
Lewis and Hodgins convened the
program, reading articles entitled •;
"Care" and "Commonsense" about
summertime safety with regard to
water safety, sunning, bicycling,
working outdoors and driving.
Lewis presided and read a poem
"Nature Speaks to Us".
During the business, a donation
was made to the Granton Cemetery
and arrangements made for flowers
at the decoration Sunday. Bus trip
information was announced and the
County W.I. Rally in July was dis-
cussed. Members signed a card for
a former member Mabel McNaugh-
ton of Craigholme in Ailsa Craig
who marked her 98th birthday on
Monday.
Lewis read about some hospital
humor and all about.rhubarb which
is reasonably high in potassium.
Recipes were exchanged for rhu-
barb punch and rhubarb upside
down cake, the lacer of which was
served by Hodgins and Lewis for
lunch.
The program came to a close
with two safety contests by Hod-
gins entitled "One Day on the
Farm" and `'Tractor Talk".
