HENSALL - Queensway Evacua-
tion Drill took place on Tuesday
evening with involvement of fire-
men, staff and volunteers. It was a
learning experience for everyone.
Residents enjoyed the fresh air and
excitement.
Edith Bell and Mildred Gingerich
were busy baking Thursday- in- or-
der to enter in the new Homecraft
Category "Golden Ages" at the
Hensall Spring Fair. By the time
you read this we will know if we
have any prize winning cookies,
date loaf or banana muffins.
Rev. Phillips of Varna -Goshen
United Churches led our worship
service on Tuesday afternoon with
Floyd McAsh as pianist.
Residents have been busy re-
hearsing for our special Canada
125 Celebrating Seniors program at
Hensall Public School. We expect
u to be great fun. We are thankful
for the wonderful volunteers that
help make such an activity possible
by helping with transportation and
supervision.

Queensway office or activity room.

Legion news
HENSALL - Last Wednesday,
Branch 468 Hensall held their last
meeting for the season. Meetings
will resume September 9.
At the general meeting members
voted to donate S200.00 to the
Childrens Aid Society. members
were made aware that 57,660.00
had been donated in the last year.
Branch 468 Hensell will be hold-
ing Decoration Day on September
26 at the Hensall Cemetery when
they will dedicate a bronze plaque
to the many service men who
served their country.
Legion Week will be held July 20
to 26 and a workshop Seminar was
held at Branch 109 Goderich June
7. All Legion Branches were also
made aware that Head Command
had donated over 29 million dollars
to numerous organizations in `the
past year.
To all branches then; are many
seminars, conventions and work-
shops through the upcoming
months.

Church this past week.

seventieth birthday of Dorothy
Ebel.

o Marjorie Moore. Ryan received
many lovely and useful gifts. A
cold luncheon was served by the
hostess. assisted by Helen Feeney.
