ZURICH - The cost of getting a
new building. under way in Zurich
is increasing.this month after coun-
cil agreed Thursday evening to
boost the price nn building permits.
A building permit in Zurich will
now cost $50' for the first $2,000
assessment of the project, and $3
tor every -S1,000 thereafter. Previ-
ous fees were only $20 and $2, re-
spectively. •
"We were actually losing money
on small permits," explained acting
village clerk Steve Armstrong, who
said the overall increase amounted
to about $50 on a $100,000 house.
Armstrong said the increase not
only allows the village to recoup its
costs of building inspection, but
also brings building costs more into
line with those charged in other Hu-
ron municipalities.
Zurich council -also received
some good news Thursday evening.
A provincial grant for supplemen-
tary funding was approved for a
paving project of John Street this
fall. Zurich has received another

CLINTON - Was today a good
day or a bad day? Did you wake up
this morning in a good mood or a
!admired?
Your mood, or your attitude, is a
key ldetermining factor in your ap-
proach to life, and attitude deter-
mines how well you•handke•auess.
"Attitude makes the difference,"
says Rosalie Wysocki. "You decide
when you wake up in the morning
if it will be a great day ora bad
day. Your attitude reflects your alti-
tude in life.'
Wysocki is one of Canada's lead-
ing motivational speakers and she
was in Clinton on May 24 to ad-
dress a group of Huron County
business people who were partici-
pants in the Community Business
Initiative Program, sponsored by
the Huron industrial Training Advi-
sory Commitee • and the Federal
Business Development Bank.
Too often, Wysocki says, stress is
brought on by our inability or reluc-
tancx.to change. She believes that
we need to see change in a more
positive light.
"When we change our attitudes
we change our behaviour. When we
_change _ our behavior we__get re-
sults.'
Changing attitude and reducing
stress may be achieved with a self-
examination and taking inventory
of influences i4 life.

"Loo often. Wysocki says we let a
negative attitude take the load and
cause undo stress.
Her advise, "Don't sweat the
small stuff. If it's not a life or death
platter you are creating mountains
out of molehills."

Zurich and Hay Township resi-
dents will as of October only be al-
lowed access to the municipal land-
fill with an identity card. Final
details as to how the cards will be
distributed have yet to be settled.
Also under consideration are tip-

which upuuntil now has been free.
The identity cards will only be
available to Hay and Zurich resi-
aents and are aimed at preventing
misuse of the landfill by others.
Zurich council has filed a com-
