Letter to Editor
Too many applications for tourney
Dear Editor:
This is in response to letters
from parents of Lucan tyke
hockey players who are con-
cerned about their team not be-
ing included in our upcoming
tournament.
Applications were sent to
many teams (including Lucan)
for entry to the tournament.
Where it was time to make up the
schedule six teams had to be
chosen from the ten who ap-
plied.
If the Lacer; and Strathroy
teams were included in our tour-
nament it is quite possible two
other teams would feel
they have
been left out.

Tournament
organizers
have the respon-
sibility of choos-
ing wbo plays in
their tournaments.
Sometimes they have to scram-
ble to find enough teams, and,
other times a choice must be
made.
At least three teams from Ex-
eter have been in the same situa-
tion as Lucan and Strathroy (one
several times) this year.
Hopefully, in the future, Exet-
er and Lucan will be able to
touch base in friendly tyke com-
petition.
