cause I was always afraid," said
Davies. "Now I go everywhere."
Through the week, much of the
players' time is spent travelling to
various schools in an attempt to ed-
ucate and increase awareness of the
sport. They have been to most of
the, wheelchair accessible schools
in the area, and if they can arrange
a suitable time. they are more than
happy to come out.
"'Rte recreational value, social,

Smith. "You're out and back living

Mohawks squish the fish
STRATHROY - The Exeter Mo-
hawks are hot as they stayed on
their winning streak, beating a
couple of teams with fish names,
the Dorchester Dolphins and the
Strathroy Sharks over the weekend.
Friday night in Dorchester, the
Mohawks led by a slim 2-1 margin
at the end of the first period but ex-
' ploded for five second period goals,
going on to a 9-3 win.
The following night, Exeter had a
tougher night with the Sharks but
still came away with a 5-3 win.
Exeter has now won their last
four games and are looking to con-
tinue that streak on Saturday when
they head to Ingersoll for a 7:45
p.m. game with the B's.
The Mohawks now sport a 7-3
Southern Counties Senior Hockey
League record.
We played the first two games
with only 13 skaters and the first
four games with only three regular
defencemen," said Exeter coach
Dave Revington.
"Seven and three isn't bad after
an 0-2 start," he added.
Against the Sharks, Exeter came
out quick in the first frame scoring
three times as Greg Snyder, Dale
Gibbon and Jeff McClenaghan con-
nected for the Mohawks. Greg
Payne helped set up two of those
goals.
The two teams exchanged goals
in the second and third periods as
Andre Prevost scored in the second
and Snyder got his second in the fi-
nal period.
An' • -ing for the Sharks were
Jacqu Bealieu, Joe Febrey and
Jim Milligan. There was only one
penalty per team in this game
which saw Exeter goalie Jeff Hill
play well and make 21 saves. The
Mohawks fined 56 shots at Graham
McLean.
"He (Hill) played okay. The first
shot of the game went in and it was one of our defencemen, he didn't
from centre ice. It went through see it."
